The Sustainable Colleges Project reviewed and promoted education for sustainable development in Further Education colleges in the East Midlands during the 2007 -2009.
The project started in April 2007 as a one-year pilot project funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC). Following a successful first year the project was financed by partner colleges, and run by a manager and four European graduate volunteers. The volunteers were each seconded to two colleges two days a week to work on education for sustainable development projects of the college’s choice.
