There are several key websites that provide direct advice or links to advice on planning, preparing and managing your career. Your current or former college or university should also be able to give careers advice, by meetings, phone, email or online, for up to a year or two after leaving.
The AGCAS web pages on Career Management skills provide links to websites dealing with self-assessment, career decision-making, application forms, CV writing and interviews.
Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services is the professional association of careers professionals in Higher Education. AGCAS has web pages on career advice, universities, sector briefings, vocational courses, employability, and career management skills - by client group, self assessment, decision-making, opportunity awareness, application forms CV writing, interviews, and reports.
The Prospects web pages on Test Yourself offer free self-assessment tools for aptitude, personality and career development. Prospects also free personalised advice services for European Community nationals who've graduated from University within the last 5 years and are seeking advice on work and study in the UK. Graduates and students can Talk to graduates online, join a Careers chat live, have Regional graduate services in the UK and Eire.
Prospects is the UK’s official graduate career website. Prospects offers information on employers, jobs, work experience and career choice. Useful features include: Quick Match – identifying similarities between your own skills, motivations and preferences and those of hundreds of occupations, and Occupational Profiles which cross-references to similar occupations. Although primarily aimed at undergraduates, much of the information is of direct relevance to graduates.

There is a Jobcentre Plus, Jobcentre or Connexions office in most towns and cities which can offer face-to-face careers advice.
Jobcentre Plus is part of the Department of Work and Pensions, through its Jobcentres helps people get a job and employment advice. JCP provides advice at every stage of the job search, advice on career direction and advice on training, as well as information about learning new skills, starting your own business, and job opportunities.
Connexions has 47 Connexions services in England that provide information, advice, guidance and support to young people aged 13 to 19. Connexions offers Career Development Loans for vocational education or learning, the Connexions Direct service via phone, text messaging, web chat and email, and a limited advice service to 19 to 24 year olds.

Alec provides a range of free and charged career advice services. ALEC contains information and advice relating to interview tips, Job search advice, psychometric tests and CV advice, application letters, psychometric tests, and interviews.
DoctorJob is a graduate career website. DJ provides job vacancies for graduates, includes work experience, careers advice, post graduate courses and contains a life page on how to live and work post graduation, registration online to receive job emails.
