Spotting the right route

 

Which job?

Describes different ways of finding a paid environmental job – looking locally, nationally and internationally, help from specialists, looking at events, in newspapers, and various websites.

Many jobs are still found through students using the university or college careers service, or attending career fairs.

Some jobs are still offered as a result of speculative enquiries to an organisation.

Some jobs are found through networking or membership of professional bodies.

Many volunteers and people on short-term placement are offered full-time jobs with the same organisation.

Increasingly environmental jobs are found online.
